It was long overdue, but we made it. Our For Films' Sake podcast had its first two episodes since December of 2021 and it seems like we picked up where we left off. Time passed, and the hiatus was long because life happens. However, our unbridled love for movies and talking about them remains as strong as ever.
No big-time changes from when we posted episodes in 2021. We brought back Chris, Irvin, and Joel. The one change is adding José Omar to our group of rapscallion cinephiles.
In our first episode back, we did what most movie podcasts would do to start the year: Talk about our favorites from 2023. Afterward, we did a quick look-ahead of our most anticipated films of 2024.
For our second episode, we had our first-ever interviewed guest. We were joined by Dillon Gonzales, from Geek Vibes Nation and the Music City Film Critics Association. We talked about his movie-viewing dynamic and the fact that he owns over 6,000 Blu-rays/DVDs.
We want to have more interviews, more great topics, and ideas, and even do some Spanish episodes. Because we can! Hopefully, we can continue at this pace and give some good stuff, barring unforeseen circumstances. So, keep an eye out for more episodes.
