This is one of the more underrated and under-seen movies of the decade. Stephen Frears gives us this look at a disgraced figure in Lance Armstrong, who used his fame and power to manipulate the sport of cycling and those around him, all for his benefit.

Ben Foster was absolutely marvelous as the former cyclist. No doubt, one of the better performances of 2015. The film was well-cast, led by a solid performance by Chris O' Dowd.

The photography was crisp and gorgeous. Despite Foster not fully looking like Armstrong, the makeup was good enough to where if you squinted at times, he'd be a dead ringer.

The film could have been a little longer. The story was told in a rush and it gave the viewer a good, old once over about the goings-on and not many details. It rushed through a 19-year span very quickly and, at times, it didn't feel like time had passed.

My score: ★★★★
